Amongst its crowning features you can find MFA support, passkeys and credential breach/leak monitoring to ensure you keeping on top of any potential security threats - although this feature is usually only for paying customers. it's a versatile tool that can be used for more complex setups, such as balancing personal and professional profiles and 'shared vaults' for credential sharing. A great addition is the support for local hosting for any that worry about the reliability of online platforms, or simply want to have sovereignty over their own data. To this extent however, the software is open source, which is a great plus for transparency and user trust. > > **Ulemper**: The interface can sometimes feel unpolished or less intuitive to those that are new to the software; comparing against some other paid solutions can feel like you are missing that 'premium' finish found in alternatives. The focus on bitwarden seems to lean towards functionality over presentation, which is a great tradeoff - especially from a tech background - however can definitely be a deciding feature for more casual users when deciding on which solution to go with.
