The software has transformed the way we run our organisation. It provides everything we need to operate our eCommerce business effectively and efficiently. Their innovation/product roadmap caters, certainly in our case, to current trends and requirements. We currently use the system to manage our sales channels of 4 separate B2C Bigcommerce websites, 2 eBay stores, 10 Amazon stores (2 subsidiary businesses with 5 EU Amazon stores each) and manual telephone sales. We have 4 channels brands, which is where Brightpearl brands paperwork and emails differently for each company. It all works as one would expect, orders download and are aggregated ready for picking and shipping, inventory is updated across all sales channels, as sales occur and purchase orders are received, and accounting is updated at each point providing a real-time picture in a myriad of dashboards and reports that can be as detailed as needed. Brightpearl support is also excellent with most cases being resolved in less than 4 hours. > > **Ulemper**: I find very little to dislike about the software. This has enabled us to automate tasks like reviewing customer notes before fulfilment, adding promotional items with logic-based limits, and routing orders to the appropriate warehouse. I also appreciate that Brightpearl provides predictable annual software costs. It logs users out after a relatively short period of inactivity, which is disruptive for anyone who needs to keep the tab open throughout the day but isn’t working inside it continuously. Compounding this, the interface doesn’t automatically refresh to indicate that the session has expired, so you only discover you’ve been logged out after clicking something—a daily friction point for our entire team. The built‑in search functionality also feels quite limited, especially for users who rely heavily on quick data retrieval. Additionally, permissions could be more granular; for example, offering read‑only access to inventory location data would be extremely useful, but currently it’s an all‑or‑nothing permission. > > Our Brightpearl Implementation Consultant delivered excellent training that helped our company align with industry best practices from day one. As we learned more about the platform’s advanced configuration options, our internal workflows became significantly faster and more consistent. The automation engine now handles the majority of our fulfilment processes, with only a small portion requiring manual review. The WMS module has improved warehouse efficiency and reliably synchronizes customer notes and packed-dimensions data with ShipStation—something that many competing systems struggle with. Brightpearl has also enabled us to regain full control of our inventory and activate accurate real‑time stock sync to all our sales channels. Having purchase orders managed directly within Brightpearl makes inbound shipment tracking straightforward as well. Some extremely critical reports are missing that I imagine EVERY single company would need. There should be a way to build your own report, based on all fields available within BP. That HAS to be a possibility, especially with AI these days - should mimic the Shopify reporting tool at baseline. BP is also not great for a company where data management has to be extremely streamlined and uniform. Not conducive to a company growing in size where every single detail matters and accuracy is important. It'd also be helpful to have a customer service/support chat, instead of having to submit a ticket for every small question (which then gets lost in my emails). To have access to a chat, I'd get my answers a lot quicker when I need them answered quickly. Automation rules are also complicated and difficult to figure out a lot of times - requires a lot of trial and error, which can cause problems. > > Again, easy to use so has been an easy transition to using this as our ERP platform.
