Kommentarer: We've been using ProPresenter since 2011 and absolutely love the ease of use and stability. It's been a great product with great support when you need it.

We can train a volunteer to use ProPresenter in just a few minutes, but the depth of features is outstanding. We probably use less than half of the capabilities of ProPresenter, so it scales with us. It's also rock solid. Nothing induces panic like a last-minute software crash. It very rarely has any issues.

Ulemper:

You definitely pay for the quality and features. There are less expensive options but they can't touch the stability of ProPresenter. I feel like the subscription system they have moved to is cost prohibitive to some smaller churches and organizations.

Using ProPresenter helps

Kommentarer: ProPresenter is something that we don't think we can live without in our production team. It makes things look so professional and very organized. It is such a great tool for our church.

ProPresenter is a key piece in our worship services on Sunday mornings, as well as any other services we may hold. It has been a tremendous asset to us in our production quality.

It tends to be a bit bulky and clunky. It's also not super user-friendly, as you do need training to be able to navigate it.

Software being used by more and more churches

I can choose a variety of backgrounds easily make colorful and eye-catching presentations and easy to use. it makes our worship better.

Ulemper:

There are no disadvantages other than the burden of regular payments.

Love ProPresenter 6, but forced to ProPresenter 7 and it has been a nightmare

Kommentarer: Love ProPresenter 6, but not supported any more and can't use CCLI with it. ProPresenter 7 has been a nightmare.

Again, this is about ProPresenter 7. They've made some random things easier than it was with ProPresenter 6 (such as changing text color).

Ulemper:

For ProPresenter 7, it tries to do too much and sacrifices things it did well (or easily) in ProPresenter 6. It certainly is not as intuitive as ProPresenter 6 was! We rent from another church, so we can't leave our laptop plugged in to run from week to week, but that shouldn't matter. It baffles me that one screen configuration setup that worked the previous week doesn't work the next week. Also, I don't appreciate that I can't find (this may be me, but again - not as intuitive) the CCLI number for songs we've already downloaded as I was able to in ProPresenter 6. PP7 is geared for streaming and seems to have made that a focus. We use Facebook for streaming because we have so much text on screen that it will require a complete redo to break the text screens from our liturgy into smaller lines of text on a page to allow for visuals and text on the same screen. Anyway, PP7 has been a disappointment and I don't think it's going to get any better for me because their focus seems to be more on streaming than multimedia display.

ProPresenter For Churches

Kommentarer: ProPresenter offers churches so much. It is a great software to purchase and use.

ProPresenter allows you to easily choose a variety of backgrounds, let's you edit text easily, allows you to put your slides in order, and labels everything appropriately.

Ulemper:

There are several different systems displaying lyrics. It is all in what you get used to. I have used Powerpoint, MediaShout, and ProPresenter. It takes time to learn anything new and unfamiliar and everything has its pros and cons. ProPresenter overall is a great choice. Just be sure to give yourself time to learn all of its features.

It's a bit hard to find different presentations from the past services.

A recommended option for large churches

Kommentarer: It is an interesting program, I wish there was a “lifetime license” version, so the price would be more justified.

I like the ease with which you can use a variety of multimedia files, also the library of resources, even the free ones are very good.

Ulemper:

It has a large learning curve, I consider the program to be very expensive, especially considering that you will not have many updates.

Must have presentation software!

Kommentarer: Overall - we love ProPresenter and use it every single Sunday and for midweek presentations. Our youth service also uses the program for their worship. Our whole campus loves it and is encouraged and engages in worship because of the backgrounds and easy lyrical displays that allow congregations and students participate and sing!

For us - ProPresenter's ease of use and how easy it is to train someone on makes ProPresenter our top choice. It's integration with CCLI, Planning Center, and more helps give this program a leg up in the competition as we use those services regularly as well. ProPresenter is also very intuitive to set up services, create and edit slides, and create different transitions between each!

Ulemper:

The only downside to ProPresenter is the new subscription based plan. While I understand it takes money to make new features and release them to its users, it causes it to feel more like the user is working with a beta version of the software with bugs and glitches that get fixed with future updates. I would rather pay a larger sum of money for a program that is finished and pay for the next version if there are features I feel like are missing from what I purchased before. Sometimes the feature updates are not something I'd like to have.

The live steaming of the app is so good that i will count it at the top in the things that i liked the most. The church management is very easy with propresentor. The dual monitor is also very good and works efficiently. The content import export is also easy in propresentor.

I think multiscreen support can be even more improved. The presentation streaming is good but the offline presenting also needs to be worked upon even more.

The live streaming is very nice. Multi screen support is also very nice and works without any glitches. Also the social media streaming is very easy with pr presentor. Dual monitor support also works very efficiently.

I feel text editing can be even more improved and the scripture database management too. Live streaming is also good but can be even more improvised.

ProPresenter offers very easy to use interface even for amateurs. Big advantage for me was that the tool supports multiple screens and it is possible to display different contents on each of them.

Ulemper:

The tool is primary designed for a single-user use, so it is not possible to collaborate with other colleagues - e.g. editing one presentation at the same time or making comments for other colleagues in the project etc.

ProPresenter easy to use

ProPresenter has many uses and there is a learning curve for more complicated uses.

Pro Presenter - Presentation Software for pro's & novices

Kommentarer: Overall our experience has been positive. For most functions the software is intuitive and once mastered easy to use. The built-in functions, such as integrations with other third-party software, is seamless.

This software was very easy to integrate into our established workflow, and made our overall production more consumer friendly.

At the present time there are no real negatives, other than the fact that novices will need some initial training to master the finer functionality given.
