It takes a while to get your head around how updates are applied - it is quite 'batchy. The MDM UI is sometimes a bit confusing.

Kommentarer: Endpoint Central is a powerful tool for IT administrators looking to streamline endpoint management and enhance security across the organization. I appreciate the wide range of features that cover almost all aspect of the endpoint management including patch management, software deployment, asset management, remote control and mobile device management.

Endpoint Central allows us to manage servers, laptops, desktops, smartphones and tablets from a single console which is highly efficient for organizations with diverse device ecosystems. Endpoint Central offers platforms for managing legacy and modern devices.

Ulemper:

Due to macOS's high level of security, Endpoint Central is not entirely capable of managing MacBook Pro and iMac devices. Lack of historical reports that provide information about configurations that we have defined and deployed to the devices via Endpoint Central.

Kommentarer: Not extremely pleased with Endpoint Central Cloud UEM. For what we ultimately use in the suite we could’ve saved money and used either a different ManageEngine / ZoHo product or a different software altogether.
I’m not meaning to sound so hard on them, but I’m just not happy with what we got for the cost. We won’t be renewing the annual subscription.

Documentation is very helpful, customer service is generally very good and prompt at answering. There are a lot of included features in endpoint central uem edition (we used endpoint central uem cloud). Windows OS features work often. Remote access feature is good. Patch management works.

Ulemper:

Limited features for MacOS and extremely few for Linux although some problems may be limited by the OS. Enrollment was a pain for Mac and Linux and provided few benefits. (No MdM for Linux. MDM required and included for macOS, but provided few benefits.) Advertising on the ManageEngine website and Endpoint Central website promised way more than it delivers. Especially for multi OS features. Very windows-centric.

Patch Management, software deployment, remote control and configuration management, security & compliance, mobile device management and also integration options with 3rd party as well as Microsoft ecosystem. deployment options are available on-premises and cloud also.

Cost-effective, scalability & integration options, automation for patching windows, Linux and mac as well as 850+ 3rd party software patching supported and centrally software deployment single machine as well as bulk deployments and workflow, security and compliance management, ease of use. available addon like vulnerability manager, device control, application manager, BitLocker manager, browser security, DLP.

Ulemper:

UI/UX design issues, remote control performance, sometimes patch deployment delays, and customer support challenges may cause delays in response time. MDM feature is very limited compared to other leader OEM.

Solid Endpoint Management platform

Kommentarer: So far, so good. Be very careful to enable tampering protection on agents, because if anything goes south with the server and you are not able to restart from a backup, you will have to engage with the support in order to correctly register agents.

Fordeler:

Its extensive range of features, which may also be confusing at first, but definitely a plus when it comes to a fully-integrated solution. It's apowerful tool for inventoring, patching, deploying software, and includes remote control features to support users. Cheaper than Intune which in turn requires the expensive Premium license.

Ulemper:

Probably the flaky Mac and Linux integration. Could not get patching to work with these OSes, and given the large number of Linux servers on my network, this is less than ideal.

It is great tool for Inventory Management and Patching the systems. It has easy to manage UI which enables Admin to manage systems with zero efforts and most of the functionalities are automated which saves ample amount of time.

Kommentarer: Basically installed as a replacement for Windows WSUS, EPC is now our favorite tool for managing our Windows devices. OS Deployment, driver update, patch installation and software deployment.. we dont wanna miss it again!

ManageEngine is the best of the best.

Kommentarer: I evaluated it for 30 days and did a few demos with the engineers at ZoHo, and was able to fully configure the system and test it in real time. Very impressive!

Endpoint Central, one tool to rule them all.

Kommentarer: Excellent. We use 5+ ManageEngine products and most are integrated and communicate to provide a seamless management tool for our business. There truly is a solution for every problem. As I have been using ManageEngine products they consistently improve and impress. Feature requests are taken seriously and it's really great to see something you suggest make it into the next release. For the price I'd argue there isn't a better product.

The depth and breath of the tools, functions and features that Endpoint Central provides, couple that with a very appealing cost and it's a great tool.

Ulemper:

Support. Online documentation is... different. There can be several documents for the same process or documents that have been superseded by others but ManageEngine doesn't date stamp so it's difficult to tell. Also getting support can at times be difficult, it's mainly online chat and there can be some communication differences. Overall it's there but sometimes difficult.

Endpoint Central can do it all for a really reasonable price.

Kommentarer: Overall it's been fantastic. Deploying software and managing MDM is extremely easy and our devices management is so automated at this point we barely need to touch them. Having nearly anything we'd need for device management and support in a single package has been great. For the number of devices we have and the solutions it solves, EC is well priced and a really great value as well.

The WIDE array of functionality that Endpoint central has is amazing. We run our helpdesk almost exclusively on it. It's almost too much at times, but it's fairly intuitive and really easy to use on a day-to-day basis.

Ulemper:

Some on the licensing is a little strange. It's not a show stopper, but did take us a bit to figure out what components are under what tier and how licenses are handled per-device/technician.

The integral of remote desktop connection, chat, video, audio and text exchange between admin and user has simplified Remote support. License tracking in the inventory mgt module enables the org to save expenses on underutilized software and helps scale up for the frequently used software

The Data Loss Prevention module is far-fetched, we cannot manage other mail clients other than Outlook.

Using Endpoint Central has made my life as an information technology administrator a breeze! Between the ease of access for our endpoints and the easy to navigate UI, Endpoint Central is awesome.

The only downside I can think of about Endpoint Central is the sales team at Manage Engine is relentless, if you try to demo a product you will be badgered for months by multiple sales representatives.

Ulemper:

- Integration with a company's existing IT infrastructure and third-party applications is a complex task that requires additional planning and customization; - Performance issues when dealing with a large number of endpoints; - Some features don't work the way we expect them to; - Some instructions are not up to date, which leads to spending additional time for learning how to use powerful features; - Service has difficulties in recognizing new devices. There is not enough information about the device owner at the approval stage of a new agent installation. And we would like to get an email notification of such an event.

The remote control feature is robust, making it easy to provide quick support to end-users without interrupting their workflow. The automation features, particularly for patch management and software deployment, have significantly reduced our manual workload and improved our overall efficiency. The remote-control functionality is incredibly responsive, making troubleshooting a breeze. Endpoint Central has truly enhanced our ability to secure and manage our IT environment, and I can't recommend it highly enough!

Ulemper:

The only downside to me is the Endpoint Central upgrade process. Rather than a simple GUI drag and drop process (and a few clicks), you will need to read a documentation to upgrade. Since the upgrades are not frequent, you tend to forget the process each time.

Perfect tool for a small team to manage a lot of devices

Kommentarer: We use Endpoint Central to deploy, manage and configure clients, to roll out software updates and in-house fixes and to provide remote (in-house) support. As a team, we'd be lost without it.

We've been using Endpoint Central (UEM Edition with Security Add-on) for 3+ years now and there's no going back. As a small team, having all of the tools we need to efficiently manage pretty much every device we own in one place is invaluable.

Ulemper:

It's hard to think of anything I dislike about the product. Every now and again an updated agent rollout will go wrong and I'll have to manually remove and re-add those clients.

They have many products and there is overlap in what is provided. It's somewhat hard to figure out exactly which product gives what is needed without adding extra features and extra cost.

Kommentarer: I have used other products from Zoho, and had an amazing experience, this one is no different. The support is great, easy to reach, in some cases just a chat button away. And they are knowledgeable and want to help.

the Support, the software is great dont get me wrong, but the support is amazing. imagine just clicking a button and getting realtime support via chat.. seems like a fairy tale right? well its a reality with this software. the other benefits are just about every option you could desire is available, OS deployment, software deployment, self service portal, reports reports reports..

its a little overwhelming at first, until you have time to use it and learn. Can only add full license users, we wanted to just add a user to pull reports. that's not an option.

Tons of features, not a ton of price

Kommentarer: Experience has been great. Have used it for many years now and it has continued to grow and offer more and more solutions to allow an admin additional capabilities in managing their environment.

Throughout the years Manage Engine has continue to refine their MEEC product to provide more and more features that allow an administrator a single product to support an environment. Remote access, patch management, compliance scanning, countless "deployment" packages, browser security, and much more not mentioned. The only endpoint management tool you'll need.

Ulemper:

Nothing I can think of at this time. Their support team is always quick to assist. If there's an identified issue in the product they're prompt to provide support.
