ShipStation Is the Best e-Commerce Shipping Tool!
Kommentarer: ShipStation was an excellent tool to help grow my small business. I am able to see orders from multiple stores that I operate. I have shipped over 20,000 items and I am still shipping products using ShipStation. The

It is by far the best e-Commerce tool for shipping and logistics. It helped me grow and run my business immensely. I was able to easily plug in the stores that I operate and it worked like a charm. It populated all the orders without any problem. I also liked the shipping discounts that it provided, as well.
Ulemper:
I found it a little clunky to use at first. I had trouble navigating the orders. It is really a warehouse type of tool which I had to get used to. I had to learn to how to navigate using the software which didn't seem as intuitive as shipping on eBay or Etsy, for example.
If you ship products, Shipstation is the way to go!
Kommentarer: This program suits our business perfectly. We are a manufacturing company and we ship daily. It keeps you from doubling your workload as your customers information is at your finger tips.

The detail. It remembers your customers, contains and keeps all of the pertinent information, even if you are just looking for an email address.
Ulemper:
So far, I can’t note out any particular con, as it performs exactly the way I need it too. When you ship products, it saves so much time.
Can't get it to work to even start and live chat support is really bad
Kommentarer: My overall experience? Very stressful and upsetting dealing with unqualified support staff who wasted my time and got me nowhere. This, to me, says a lot about the company. What happens after our store goes live and something breaks? Will it be down a week because support is non-existent? Or can I trust a company to build a quality product when they won't invest in quality help? I hope they and others like them are listening. This is not just ShipStation. Companies need to realize the importance of good support. It can make them or break them. I'm off now to find a company with good, well-trained support that has a good command of the English language. Do they still exist?

The ai chat bot was great. Very well trained. I was excited, but could only go so far before I needed a human. Then things went to hell. Never could get it working to know how well it works.
Ulemper:
There are many problems and the labels were misleading so it was impossible to know what the real problem was. Is it a bug? Is it misconfiguration? Is it just something I don't understand because the explanations on the page weren't clear? I couldn't say and live chat was not helpful at all. He couldn't understand the simplest questions so after 2 hours of trying to get the app connected to our store, and Loom video after Loom video I made to make it easy for him to comprehend, I had to give up trying. Even though his vocabulary was large, it's pretty clear, because of his lack of comprehension, that English was not his first language. But if he knew his job, the language shouldn't have even been a problem. If the shipping app doesn't connect to your ecommerce store, and I showed him pictures to make it crystal clear (it said no shipping options), he should have been trained enough to know what to do to fix it. He didn't even understand the question.
Best Shipping for small businesses
Kommentarer: Overall, I really enjoy using shipstation for my shipping needs. It's easy to keep track of order, track the orders, send communication about orders to customers, and access labels.

I like how easy it is to collect order, print the labels, and get items shipped out. It was also really easy to purchase a label if needed.

I cannot think of a feature I didn't like about Shipstation.
Shipstation for your needs big or small
Kommentarer: Shipstation has been there for our company from the very beginning. It has grown to be able to assist us in shipping thousands of shipments per day.

Shipstation offers everything one needs to operate a compact, medium or large fulfillment business.
Ulemper:
There are so many features that we don't use, I wonder if it might be better to have the option to build a subscription level rather than use a subscription tier that's centered only around volume.
Great product, other than the shipping rates
Kommentarer: We've used Shipstation to purchase and print labels from both the API and web portal. Both the API and web portal are quite good, with the web portal being best in class.
Fordeler:
Shipstation has by far the best UX/UI of any of the shipping softwares we've used (Shippo, Easypost, Pirate Ship). It also has far more frontend features. If you're primarily using the web portal for shipping management, this is your best bet. You'll get things done much faster than with alternative options.
Ulemper:
The biggest downside of Shipstations is their carrier rates. USPS rates are quite bad as they force you to provision your own USPS account. Other platforms allow you to use their rates for USPS, which gets you much better discounts (unless you ship 50,000+ pieces a month on your own account, you won't match the discounts on Shippo or similar).
Works Okay, Remote printing issues
Kommentarer: I wouldn't not recommend using ShipStation, but the integration with the Rollo printer was annoying, specifically on the Mac. It didn't have issues integrating with ecommerce platforms like Shopify or Amazon, and was reliable for sending the correct data and receiving the full and accurate orders.

It integrated well with Shopify, Walmart.com, Etsy, eBay and Amazon.
Ulemper:
It had connection issues with the remote printing option and Rollo. I would have to frequently disconnect and reconnect the software. The cost jumps up rapidly after 50 orders, and during my off season, if I'd forget to downgrade, I would pay a lot for services I wasn't using

I like the ease of creating shipping labels and purchasing shipping options right there and keeps track of warehouse inventory all while doing all that.

I love ShipStation because it takes the hassle out of everything.

Kommentarer: The customer service/sales experience was great. I’m not a tech person but using the platform has been easy.

I like that it’s a trusted name and that they offer competitive shopping rates.

It is expensive to be signed up with their highest tier plan, which is what I need for my volume of shipments and DHL integration.

Support is absolutely ridiculous - NOT RECOMMENDED
Kommentarer: Poor. This boils down to the lack of technical support. Overall, we like the software when it works.

Shipstation has served us well for the past few years. It is a great way a aggregate all your orders from different channels.
Ulemper:
Support is HORRIBLE. We are left not being able to ship and can not get any assistance. I have upgraded our plan just to get access to live chat, and this is just as bad as the email support. We are urgently looking at alternatives and can not have our business dependant on ShipStation.
Good Platform to work on your e-commerce orders.
Kommentarer: Works great to get all your orders fulfilled. We are very satisfied with that aspect. We do not intend to change away from it.

The easy to gather all the orders from different selling channels into one tool. No extra entering of shipping information and I like how it does verify all your addresses.
Ulemper:
The Magento Module has issues. Live Rates do not just transfer from Shipstation to the website. It ends up being $0 for shipping that gets charged to our customers. I had to deactivate that functionality.

Stores and order management
Kommentarer: I find it easy to use and a great way to have all of your marketplaces centralized to assist your shipping team or your customers, we have various ways to locate an order and edit it to our needs.

Once you do your basic set up you can start to keep track of your orders and for a long time, we can go back and edit orders from years back in case something new pops up with customer service
Ulemper:
Since it is a web page it can fail and make your process stop.Sometimes the cache on your account makes it slow to check on order if you have high volume (customer support can assist on this).now that they are testing their new look sometims old SS can be hard to work and you ahve to go to the new look, and viceversa.
Waiting for solution for a bug fix for 7 months.

ShipStation has been pretty easy to use but we have been having the same issue for over 7 months now, with no resolution or sense of urgency from customer service.

We have been having the same issue with no resolution in 7 months. The additional insurance cost to a FedEx label does not properly translate over to our operating system. The wait time to get what ShipStation calls a "bug", has been absolutely absurd. We haven't received a solution from anyone, meanwhile this has caused accounting issues and additional headaches that a small business shouldn't have to go through. We are already looking for a replacement service.

Kommentarer: Totally necessary for our small business to ship our cosmetic products with ShipStation. Couldn't have run our business without it.

I loved how easily it integrated with our Squarespace shop. We used Shipstation to print labels and to manage which orders we shipped. The label-making was flexible enough for us and let us be a little custom with a brand logo. Was also great how it worked with UPS, FedEx, and all the other shipping types. Customer service was always quite helpful and easy to access.
Ulemper:
I remember going back a forth a lot between Shipstation and Squarespace and wishing more was integrated into Shipstation so that I could just stay on that platform.
ShipStation is a good platform that is well on it's way, Needs more for B2B support.
Kommentarer: If we can work out the Kinks with Ship From Locations we will be able to easily ship to multiple supported carriers without additional development time for unique integrations from each company into our Custom Order Entry Software.

Initially Importing Orders with little setup time using the XML integration helped us import orders using our custom Order Entry Program in a two-day time frame. It is also easy to add in supported carriers providing you have the required information. Automatic Notifications and returns support is a great added feature.
Ulemper:
The missing value for B2B customers is missing support for Blind Shipping, in our case, we only update the company name in the ship at this time which we are unable to do in ShipSttion, the recommended workaround was to re-enter 2500+ resellers in each location as a unique Ship From Location. (We have 3) Alternatively we can tax our shipping employee with entering them with each new shipment. Otherwise, I think the lack of bulk importing these Ship From Locations makes things a little worse off. I am hopeful that more features will be released with B2B and Dropship customers in mind.
Simple Implementation, Useful Tool
Kommentarer: ShipStation easily allows me to track purchasing and expenses. It was easy to rollout and train my staff in.

The ability to input new inventories into the system is tedious at first, however you can quickly adapt to the interface.
Very poor software design and way of doing business
Kommentarer: Very poor experience. Never could get the right answers from support either. Seems like a company that really doesn't care about small businesses and customer support.

It was a way to print shipping labels in one place for multiple carriers.
Ulemper:
They made you prepay for labels in certain $ increments before you could print labels, so you always have money tied up hoping to be able to use it sometime. Will only be able to ship FedEx and UPS if you have current account with them and can get the software to work together with your existing account. Not very user friendly compared to Pirate Ship.
