Furthermore, Asana's extremely adjustable and attractive GUI makes interacting with it a lot more enjoyable. It was well worth the money.

Ulemper:

When you set up a new account, you naturally are opted in to the email notifications, which can be really annoying and a pain to remove. My only suggestion to the Asana team would be to change that.

Great for small businesses on a budget

Kommentarer: Excellent and I couldn't see our company wanting to replace the software. The other thing to mention is that I am sure there resolution services are good however we have never needed to contact them in the years that we have been a customer. The software never seems to glitch which is unheard of.

It is so effortless to use. Instead of software trying to justify its cost by making things more complicated than it needs to be, asana just allows you to tailor exactly the internal sheets you need so you can collaborate easily with a widespread team.

Ulemper:

The only downside with Asana is just its level of integration with other software that we use on a daily basis. We knew that Asana didn't integrate with the software we wanted it too but decided that it was still worth implementing within our business.

A fabulous software we cannot live without

Kommentarer: Really excellent from start to finish, it syncs easily with our Google calendar workspaces, our time tracking softwares, it has helped our business grow, get organised and far more efficient. It's invaluable and we love it also from a personal organisation point of view now as well as professionally.

Clarity and ease of adding tasks, the app works super well on the go too for this, adding in particular features specific to projects, easy scheduling and assigning of tasks, view settings, the kamban boards, gantt views and goal setting and linking capabilities. It's really intuitive and we love it.

Ulemper:

The work flow setting up is tricky to master if you're not already good at that sort of thing and it would be great to be able to download the gantt charts and calendars to share with people not required on our Asana platform but otherwise it's really well supported, the education is excellent and we love it.

Asana Keeps Life Organized!

Kommentarer: My overall experience with Asana with Asana was great! I still continue to use them because they keep me and all my projects on time and everything in my life organized. I have 8 million projects going on at all times and they keep me up to date and me on time, so I don't get lost in what I am doing. Between being a student and a self-employed employed worker Asana is a blessing!

What I loved about Asana was that it was very easy to use! It was also a project management software that was made for someone who is a one man show or someone that has a team of people working for them as well. They don't rope you by making them buy their software outright they give you a free trial first which is great because it allows you to see if it is a good fit for you and your team first. It keeps track of everything you are doing and makes sure you are getting everything you are done on time so that you aren't falling behind. You can also use this app on your phone and on your computer which is great because not everything be can done on your phone.

Ulemper:

The only thing that I didn't that I did not like about it was that unless you had internet you could not use it and when I went to a different for country for business there was an issue with the time. And when I looked into it, it said that there was native time keeping for Asana.

Great project management software

Kommentarer: Overall, Asana meets all of our needs and the large portion of our wants.

I love being able to keep everyone on the same page. When implementing our software product, Asana lets each person on the project know what is expected of them and what is expected of others. There is no "I thought you were doing that" or "what are we waiting on". Asana eliminated this. I also love being able to build templates that I can utilize again and again. I don't have to start over each time.

Ulemper:

I wish that Asana had the ability to segment users more. I want complete control over who can comment, who can post, who can complete task, etc. Asana does some of this but it needs to be more granular.

Really good Platform for Task Management

Great task-management and collaboration tool

Kommentarer: It's a breeze to use and it enables our busy publishing team of 10 to collaborate and stay on top of our day-to-day. It also gives me the paper trail I need for quarterly and annual reporting. Highly recommended.

It's very easy to implement and to onboard new users. The interface is attractive and very intuitive. New features are appearing every few months - the recently added Portfolio/Workload feature is brilliant. Now I get the Gantts I need to monitor my team's workload and our many projects.

Ulemper:

Being able to estimate hours per task would make Workload even more useful. Keyword search (for completed tasks/projects etc.) can be a little flakey.

An essential tool for our business

Kommentarer: As a small business that has both internal staff and contractors Asana helps us break projects into tasks and keep track of where we are. It’s easy to set up and use which means everybody uses it.

Asana makes both managing projects and product development simple. Dare I say it? Perhaps even a pleasure. A pleasure because of some of the funky features it has - unicorns fly when you complete a task, friendly monsters peek at you over cards. But it’s certainly not frivolous. Projects are easy to set up and track. Team members can build a clear view of their work. Admins can report on progress.

Ulemper:

It’s a shame you can’t assign tasks to two people. And that, in calendar view, you can’t rearrange tasks into the order you wish to do them.

Kommentarer: We have a lot of different marketing activations spread over various time periods and across multiple brands we own. Being able to organize all of this effectively and keep everyone on schedule has been a tremendous help and has saved us countless hours of time. We use this tool daily to keep everyone on track, and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Powerful tagging and search functions make it very simple to keep track of our myriad marketing activations and all their associated deliverables. Adding subtasks and including collaborators on tasks makes it very easy to keep track of who needs to do what and by when. Various views like lists, calendars, and kanban boards make it accessible to everyone on the team who thinks and processes information differently. The UX is clean and simple, and the 'my tasks' and 'inbox' features help us all keep track of what's happening in our assigned areas.

Ulemper:

The only con I have is that there is somewhat of a steep learning curve for some of the more advanced features, and there's some serious thinking and heavy lifting required to get everything laid out and organized in the tool and then get everyone onboarded. However, I think this is likely going to be the case with any team adopting a project management tool.

Asana is my favorite Kanban Product

Kommentarer: I personally have had a dandy time with the product and would use it over Trello any day of the week. I think that the team has a great dev schedule and constantly improve the product and entire platform, clean up tech debt and make older services faster. The API docs can use some work but it is not a huge deal once you get used to them. I would tell anyone looking for a pro-featured Kanban setup to use Asana time and time again. Hands down my favorite and I have used a ton of them.

Asana gives you the tools to customize and even a great APi to leverage data from Asana into your own tools. Nothing can beat that. Yes it costs money, but you are getting a tool set that is worth the price. If you are looking for something cheap, this is not for you because you would not use all the features anyway.

Ulemper:

Asana has a learning curve but has good docs to support you. The custom data aggregation or getting data OUT of the tool is hard, but again, can be done. I had issues that were solved by customer support. Just be ready for some additional time if you plan to write a custom app that uses the API

Kommentarer: Asana has been an essential tool for our agency to centralize task management and have a tool to help us keep on task.

We are a digital marketing agency and we use Asana daily for managing tasks, both custom requests that come in from the client and monthly recurring tasks. It's perfect as a central portal where the team can see everything due and what is happening with tasks, vs. everything being lost in separate strings of emails. Asana has saved a lot of tasks from getting off track. We've been improving how we use it a lot in the last year, organizing it by client and devoted sections within each client to easily track different types of tasks, such as "Items Due from the Client" vs. "Monthly Recurring Tasks" or "Special Projects" etc. It's also really handy to have the phone app in addition to the computer version for working tasks on the go.

Ulemper:

It works great for the task management aspect, but it would be great if it had budgeting and time planning functionality, so we did not have to go to separate solutions for that. It would also help to see general account or project status items, but we might be able to figure out a workaround to make that happen as we have on some other needs.

Kommentarer: I've been using Asana for years for a number of different purposes. I really appreciate the broad feature set and the fact that the Asana team continues to improve the system, without completely overhauling how the whole thing works and looks. The consistency has been so good!

Using Asana made it possible to create a repeatable process that anyone on my team can follow and implement. That means that we're able to scale rapidly and bring on new clients without panicking that we won't be able to handle the new workload. We absolutely love that each client is managed via their own project, and within each project we have their entire podcast calendar mapped out for the year ahead. This is essential so that we can plan team workload, and know when to hire.

Ulemper:

The only thing I wish was available is a calendar view for each project that lists subtasks. Since each client has a primary task for each episode, and sub-tasks are listed underneath that, it would be great to use the drag and drop feature for subtasks easily in one view for that specific project.

Organized Your Work with Asana

Kommentarer: I use Asana everyday to manage my tasks. I encourage my team to maintain their work through Asana. Overall it's a nice and effective tool. During this current scenario, it's really helpful for your remote working.
Although I believe it is a little expensive compare to similar task management Apps. But the features are really good.

Asana is the simplest, user-friendly, and most interactive task management tool. For my startup, I found it very helpful and it makes planning, task assignment, tracking, and registering much easier. I can organize my team task and project and keep track of the work progress without missing the due date for the project. I also love the My favorite feature is the ability to set up recurring tasks feature. It is easy to set up and you can check the history of the recurring task smoothly.

Ulemper:

Although it's an awesome tool for task management, still I would like to mention a few points which can be improvised. 1. There shall be an option to delete people from teams and projects easier 2. The pricing can be lesser for small team groups.

A great productivity tool

Kommentarer: Asana is the productivity tool I use with my small workgroup at school and it has never let me down, the productivity and efficiency of my group increased exponentially with the implementation of Asana. It is a very well-thought-out tool that meets everything you need; it works fast and accurately, and the interface is intuitive. It is great software to improve your productivity, either in a group or personally.

Asana is a great project manager, it has many tools that favor collaborative work. The task and time management in Asana is flawless, and the different ways to present your organization are great, whether it's a list, a task flow, or a calendar, whatever you use does the job. It is constantly evolving and updating software, so it can only get better. An important point in favor of Asana is the integration with third-party applications, such as Google Calendar or Notion, very few software have such a complete third-party integration. Overall, it's an excellent tool for productivity whether you're working in large or small groups.

Ulemper:

Asana fulfills most of the functions that it promises, however, it would be nice if the free version is not so limited, mainly because in small workgroups this can be a compelling reason to give up using Asana. Also, when you first start using Asana, the learning curve can be a bit slow, but after a few days of using it, you get used to it.

Kommentarer: I really like the features that Asana offers. I especially appreciate the ability to create tasks and subtasks, as well as the option to add attachments to tasks. I don't like that Asana doesn't have an undo button. Sometimes I make a mistake and need to undo it, but I can't. I have to start all over again. Or it's hidding in a not so logical place....

Kommentarer: I love using Asana to manage my business. We literally have everything we're planning to do on there. From stuff like sourcing and logistics, to marketing, we use it to manage our projects in various areas of our work. It's intuitive and easy to set up, and it's got a lot of features for small businesses to log and plan their projects. Would definitely recommend overall.

I love how you can use it even as a very small company. A lot of the other project management tools we evaluated were either only for large companies or had really low usage limits. Whereas with Asana, we can get all the stuff we want done, and more, without having to jump up three plans in the process. It's also very easy to implement and learn how to use in the beginning

Nothing sticks out that much, we get the odd bug or issue here and there but it works great almost all the time

Asana Keeps Me On Track

I not only use Asana for my own small business, but also to manage the projects for other clients, as well as my personal projects. Asana offers powerful tools at a lower price than other project management software. Although you may want to upgrade for more features. It's fairly easy to set up although I feel I may not be using it to it's full potential. They offer webinars and educational material to help you.

Ulemper:

Still wish the pricing could be lower, especially for a single user who doesn't have an office full of people or a large budget. With every app and program requiring subscriptions these days, it really adds up and my project management software will be lowest on the list if something has to go. I also had a bad customer service experience. It took a while but I was able to finally get an answer for my set up question.

A Step Away From Being The Best

Kommentarer: We have felt a huge and increasing need for something like Asana and couldn't find the right fit for a fair price. Asana has been the closest we've found to what we are looking for. We can add sub-contractors on individual projects and assign them tasks without having to pay an arm and a leg. This platform would be dynamite with a couple additional features and small changes, but regardless, it has still been of great benefit to us. It is simple enough (compared to complex tools like Bitrix24) but dynamic enough (compared to simple tools like Trello) to be our main work space hub. Because we are used to using free and unlimited tools (like Bitrix24 and Trello), we like that Asana is an affordable solution. We are grateful for all of the benefit it has added to our company!

Asana has been a huge asset to our company! It's is very easy to use, clean, organized, aesthetically engaging, and customizable enough to fit specific needs of unique organizations. To create a task list, you must create a new project, so we have a unique "project" for each employee, simply as a way of putting their personal to do list in Asana, instead of having a separate platform (like Wunderlist) for general tasks. Now all project tasks and general tasks can be viewed in one list in Asana. Asana works with our time tracking platform (Toggl) so employees don't have to shift between windows to track which project they are working on. The Timeline view was the biggest selling point for us, since the simple Trello-like project view is far too basic for the complexities of our many fast moving projects. Asana Timeline is simple enough that we don't waste valuable hours just getting the project timeline setup (templates is a life-saver), but we also don't waste time duplicating work, retracing steps, dividing tasks via email, etc. It keeps us organized and helps us communicate progress quickly.

Ulemper:

Asana allows you to chat around any project, however, the notifications for new messages do not get your attention! You have to be in Asana or email no-stop to realize someone has written you. This makes the conversation/chat element near useless for us. We have to put our messages in Asana (so we can keep all project information in one place) but then notify the associated colleague in What's App that they have a pending and time sensitive message in Asana. This is frustrating! There are a handful of other elements that make this platform less than it could be. When you add a task with a due date and due time, you will not receive an overt chime or pop-up notification at the due time. Again, you must be constantly checking email or Asana... very inefficient with numerous projects going at once and for employees with lots of emails coming in throughout the day. Additionally, you cannot designate a default "assign to" person for a particular task/project list. These issues have been brought up by many Asana users and even after lots of time passing, there has not been real resolution to these frustrating elements.

Kommentarer: The first thing I find it very useful is that it helps a lot to manage my time and set priorities for different tasks. Because of its ability to be in different projects features, it will be quite handy for the ones who involve in different teams of a company like HR, Project Management.

It's quite easy to use and it has helped me a lot to keep track of my daily tasks. I find it very satisfying to complete the tasks right after i finish them. It is also handy for the management team to review everyone's tasks and how they're doing at the end of the day. It has already got essential features for task management even in free version, but I'd love to go premium later.

I hope it could provide more features like insights and trends in free version. But it is still okay to see the general insights of your work.

Kommentarer: I have been using Asana for the last three years and it works perfect for what it was designed for; task and project management with collaborative tools and integrations, based on a simple system but able to unite teams and increase productivity. It is affordable and everyone can start using Asana, and for enterprise scale performance there are good plans or licenses.

Compared to other software/platforms, Asana has stood out for the following features: +It has integrations with important applications, such as Tableau, Salesforce, Google Calendar, Office 365, among others. +It has a highly interactive dashboard interface, you can leave comments, attach files you have on your computer or from Dropbox, G Drive or whatever your storage tool is. +Customer support is more responsive and friendly. +It is more efficient as it is perfect for working with large teams, has fewer limitations and is more professional. +More flexible customization. +Can track multiple projects with multiple timelines. It has several functions to manage a project, also to communicate internally in a team and to follow up on tasks. We can plan campaigns in advance and it is easier to know who is responsible for each element. *I like the dashboards because it helps me to visualize the work progressing in stages. Everyone has deadlines and due dates in their responsibilities, it's a more organized work, with reminders and so on. I can change views and visualize my tasks differently. *Assigning tasks is easy and you can put sub-tasks. Integrations with other applications improve the process of activities and expand the possibilities.

Ulemper:

I think the only thing I have to mention here is that the search filter is not as robust a feature as the other tools, so I would like it to be optimized, with more options and customization.

Asana is flexible and easy to use. When we first implemented asana, the biggest change was the drop in internal emails we were receiving. Having the inbox feature is nice because there's somewhere you can go to see if anyone has commented or updated any tasks you follow or if they've added you to any new tasks. The use of emojis and the ability to like a comment or action are very small things, but they can make monotonous things like checking off tasks or seeing that someone completed something feel a little bit nicer. You feel good when someone likes your comment or task completion. It's a small way of saying thanks without having to actually type it out every time. Being cloud based means it's super easy to access from anywhere (except when the internet is down i suppose) I do like the fact that you can also create a personal account and throw task lists in there that are totally separate from work tasks, but still easy to access. I haven't used it a ton, but it sure came in handy for wedding planning!

There's too much flexibility. Even with templates set up, everyone sets up task lists differently, so no two projects are the same. Unless you implement a rigid system or process around how employees should build out a project and task lists, or have only a few people allowed to create tasks, it can easily get confusing. This makes it hard to find things. Thank god for the search bar, but when you can't remember exactly what you named something, it's difficult to track things down. It's also hard to know where a project is at by looking in asana. All tasks you've completed are hidden by default. I sometimes turn on their visibility so I can at least see what has been completed and what's left, but it's not a great picture of how far along the project actually is, as there are sometimes tasks that either haven't been entered yet, or tasks that contain large lists of subtasks, so even though it looks like one task, there's actually 12 steps to it. Basically, the task list doesn't give you any indication of how much time is estimated that each tasks needs to complete. It's really easy to get lost with subtasks inside of subtasks inside of subtasks.
