Best project management software!

Kommentarer: I have used Asana on both the agency side for managing client work and on a personal side of managing my own individual work. Asana keeps things simple, it's so easy to integrate with other tools, and visually is very appealing.

Very intuitive and easy to use project management software. Saves a ton of time for the user which is crucial.

Ulemper:

Nothing really, I think this is the best project management software out there currently.

Task master with Asana

It can be limited in its features and hard to integrate other apps

Good for small entities

Kommentarer: It's ok for team usage (less than 10 people) though I would recommend using another platform for meeting summary, project follow-ups.

Fordeler:

Eases the communication in the team and offers a follow-up of on meetings. Easy to get your hands on it.

Ulemper:

I find it a bit chaotic, especially when you're looking for information from previous meetings. The layout is a bit outdated.

Where or where did my old Asana go? It went greedy.

Kommentarer: It used to be very positive, not it is just a money-hungry disappointment.

It used to have an ease of use. Very vitually appealing and easy for staff to follow. I also enjoyed the Celebration Creatures.

Ulemper:

Since developing a paid version, more and more functions have been stripped from the paid one. And the paid version is incredibly expensive for a small, independent business. The search function is impossible, you can't get rid of detritus, etc. I can no longer recommend them.

Learning curve for admins but nothing too bad. So many features and it took a while to get to the most efficient use of the platform.

Good software!

Kommentarer: Overall, its a good software. I think it is important to set it up it with clear guidelines for the team. If not, we are not making a optimal use of it.

As there is a lot of way to use Asana, it is kinda hard to make it work for everyone in the team and to make sure everyone does it in the same way.

Knowing Asana!

Kommentarer: I love love Asana! It is a highly organizational and efficient work tool. I can manage the entire team as a project manager from anywhere in the world. Though a bit difficult to navigate, it’s one of the best tools for a project manager

That I can remotely manage mine and my team schedule. I love the fact that I can collaborate with every member of my team . Finally, I love the flexibility and of the tool.

Ulemper:

It can be a bit hard for one to navigate the software. The software needs proper time to acclimatize.

Asana - it runs my life - and that's a GREAT thing!

From time to time, Asana does change the URLs of their various tools, which means bookmarking can be a problem.

An Absolute Must to Stay Sane During the Workday

Kommentarer: Asana has made my productivity increase greatly. When I share tips and tricks with my team they're amazed at how much more efficient they can be. I don't think I could work without Asana. If my company didn't provide Asana for us, I would still use it.

It keeps me organized!! It is so easy to see what I have to do, what others on my team are working on, and when everything is getting done. I love how we can communicate in Asana, provide updates on workflows, and easily adjust as needed. It's amazing that we can work with clients on other boards and just overall streamline workstreams.

Ulemper:

That not everyone uses it, so sometimes have to figure out how to get people on board or integrate our system with theirs.

Kommentarer: It has been a life saver and honestly I could not manage my team without it.

The calendar view. In one screen I can see what my entire team has going in the upcoming days and how full our schedule is.

Ulemper:

The phone app. I wish it was a little more robust. Lacking the calendar view is what I dislike the most about the app and why I don't use it much in my manager roll.

Kommentarer: Love it. It's a great product that for me is very dialled in now. I won't be moving unless they start removing functionality and options.

Asana has a lot of moduality. I'm a very particular person and very systems-minded, and I can really tailor Asana to those specific, high-level needs. That said, Asana manages to offer that power of options without over-crowding the UI/X and making the platform feel sluggish or over-stimulating to view.

Ulemper:

Very few things that are largely insignificant compared to it's strength. There are small details like the pop-up windows from completed, deleted or altered tasks appearing on the left of screen obscuring the menus/ projects. You have to close each one until you can get to click your next project.

Great for Project Management across a remote team

Kommentarer: Used widely amongst the team across all areas of the business with vary levels of full engagement. We initially had all the company goals mapped out and had these filtering down into various teams sub goals, but then realised several of the teams weren't using the platform to record in this way, so we downgraded and allow the teams who love it to use it in the way that best suits them.

Fordeler:

As a project management tool it's strong - lots of really simple to use layouts and project templates so no PM experience required to get started. It's reporting functionality is great too, and goal setting is really useful to the team.

Ulemper:

The price. We'd love to go for the biggest plan but for a start up it's hard to justify the full cost if only certain teams are adopting it. It can get expensive pretty quickly.

Simple yet fully effective

Kommentarer: Excellent and I couldn't see our company wanting to replace the software. The other thing to mention is that I am sure there resolution services are good however we have never needed to contact them in the years that we have been a customer. The software never seems to glitch which is unheard of.

It is so effortless to use. Instead of software trying to justify its cost by making things more complicated than it needs to be, asana just allows you to tailor exactly the internal sheets you need so you can collaborate easily with a widespread team.

Ulemper:

The only downside with Asana is just its level of integration with other software that we use on a daily basis. We knew that Asana didn't integrate with the software we wanted it too but decided that it was still worth implementing within our business.

Managing Projects

Kommentarer: Overall setting up a really great workflow around tasks works really well. You can set up different projects with a timeline view that I found extremely helpful.

Fordeler:

I love managing social media tasks such as captions and hashtags for various strategies. I can manage the daily grind of social media from anywhere in the app and the notifications let's me stay on track for rolling out promotional marketing on a number of social media platforms. In the projects I can create tasks and lists quite easily.

Ulemper:

It doesn't appear to let me assign another person to a task so the communication function isn't as efficient as I would like.

Powerful and flexible task and project management for nearly any purpose

Kommentarer: Fanatastic task mangement and collaboration tool. Use it daily for basis todos, recurring todos, project workflows, task followup, task prioritization, and so on. Many different ways to manageme the same goals and flexible in how you want to collaborate with teams on big projects with milestones, bug fixing, etc etc.

Cost, it's expensive, but you get what pay for when you look at alternatives.

Robust hierarchical scheduling, planning, organising and prioritising in accordance to urgency of need. Team communication via instant messaging and file sharing. Online services and products promotion.

No need to deceive prospects, nothing to register on cons section.

What I liked least about Asana was the occasional clutter when managing complex projects, as too many tasks and subtasks could make it overwhelming. Additionally, some features felt limited unless you upgraded to the premium version.

Can’t live without it!

Kommentarer: I would call my experience with Asana a game-changer. I would also call it an “industry changer”, because I have seen the impact it has had on productivity in both companies I have worked for that implemented Asana into their workflow. I don’t know how the current company where I work could run if it didn’t have Asana. And I know for a fact I wouldn’t be able to do my job without it.

I like that the capabilities are endless for how you can set up projects and processes to work best for your specific company or team. I also love that, on a daily basis, I discover some new way that Asana can make my job more efficient and streamlined.

Ulemper:

Changing the “time” in the due date field is a little wonky if you are trying to type it in and not use the drop-down. But that’s the only minor annoyance I have.
